Original Sulawesi Tank

Here is a complete visual diary of the changes my Sulawesi shrimp tank has gone through from the time it was created last summer in 2024 to June 2025.

Fun fact, it was not originally made for Sulawesi shrimps as you'll see below. Before a year ago, I had never kept shrimps successfully and, like any novice, I started with a population of red cherry shrimp and a stowaway misfit or two. To my utter disappointment and frustration they all started to slowly die out over time. I was left with a single adult white shrimp and a blue baby neocaridina.

They kept my love for shrimp keeping alive while I took the time to grieve over the fallen colony I tried so hard to maintain. I felt like a failure.

That didn't stop me from trying again after, but with the Sulawesi shrimps now. I did the research and made it happen and now I'm here telling this to you. If i can do it, anyone can.

Side note, me and algae have a love hate relationship. It's good for the skrimps but at times gets overwhelming. It's the William Afton of the aquarium world... It always comes back.
